Olga Forslund

  Olga Forslund, watercolour.
The artist at her desk in the Arvidson lithographic studio.

Olga Forslund had been working both for a lithographers and for a photographic studio retouching photographs. When she moved to a rest home in 1967, she donated a shoebox containing 122 watercolours and drawings to the museum. The oldest of these was from the end of the 1910's and the most recent from 1944.
Olga Forslund was a keen observer, whose impish humour can be seen in the barely caricatured subjects. They offer very human and candid tales of Helsinki life.
