The web pages have been designed by Marjukka Sihvola. Jan Alenco was responsible for the technical implementation. The accompanying texts are based in part on the 'Helsinki in Frames' exhibition staged in the Hakasalmi villa in 2006. The exhibition was designed by Kerttuli Wessman with the assistance of Seija Haga and Marja Pehkonen, and produced by the head of unit, Riitta Pakarinen.

This translation

Most of the work was carried out under the supervision of John Calton, lecturer in English, University of Helsinki, as part of a basic-level course in Finnish-English translation in the department of English. The translations have been revised for consistency of style by the lecturer.
