The service is for
children a year before compulsory education.
Pre-school teaching is given 4 hours a day when
schools are operational.
The aim is to strengthen the child’s learning
prerequisites and positive self image. In
cooperation with homes the child’s individual
and social development and will and joy of
learning is supported. Pre-school teaching creates
the basis for the child’s lifelong learning.
Applying
The service is applied with a pre-school form at
day care offices in February. The client can act
by power of attorney.
Producer
of Service
The service is produced by Social Services or
businesses of the field.
Price
Pre-School Teaching is free of charge. Day care
needed in pre-school is charged 65% of all-day
care fee when the child’s free pre-school and
day care arranged by the municipality exceeds 7
hours, 40% for 5 – 7 hours, and 20% for 5 hours
max. If the child needs day care during school
holidays, day care fees are charged according to
the day care decision made for the child.
