Finlandia Park is located in the heart of Helsinki between Töölönlahti bay and the inner city, opening fan-like towards the bay in the north. A variety of old and new cultural buildings, e.g. Finlandia Hall by Alvar Aalto, Kiasma Museum and Helsinki Music Centre are located there.

The street crossing the Park splits it in two. The southern half has been built urbanically whereas the northern side boasts a series of green park areas. An events park suited for outdoor concerts, i.a. is situated by the shoreline.

Töölönlahti park opens towards north between Sanomatalo Building and Kiasma Museum. The Citizens’ Square is the meeting point and the ‘’heart’’ of the area, and the walking and biking routes cross the Square to north, east and west. Coffee and other refreshments are available for passers-by on the outdoor terrace of Makasiinipuisto.

An oval shaped Dance Pavilion has been designed in the centre of the Park. The Pavilion is suited for other events, too. The Pavilion Café is open to all. The Pavilion is in the middle of the urban park and its architecture is modern. Thus the Pavilion adds novel urban features to old Finnish dancing traditions.

Helsinki Music Centre is under construction and once completed, provides a splendid setting for listening and studying music right in the heart of Helsinki. There is a splendid view from the lobby to the park. The latest technology was deployed in the design of the acoustics of the Concert Hall of the Music Centre.
